M/Y Montecassino is a 106′ ft Broward which underwent an extensive refit. The Client purchased the yacht in 2015 which was known as M/Y Rio at the time with the vision of giving her a complete facelift inside and out. The yacht had a four cabin layout with no true Master and was previously used as a charter yacht. The new owner however wanted to create one large luxurious Master with a beautiful new “his and hers” Master head in which the yacht would be exclusively used for his private use. In addition, he wanted to “gut” the entire rest of the boat with the exception of only keeping the interior dividing bulkheads. The Clients vision for the project was an interior rich in finishes which would be completely new with a chic white modern minimal interior with accents of glass and rich exotic woods, with brushed and polished chrome and stainless accents.
Karen Lynn Interior Design performed the demolition of the old interior as requested. We also prepared a full set of construction drawings and 3D renderings for the Client to approve as well. In addition, we prepared all of the finishes, furnishings and equipment for the Clients review and approval. We obtained bids and pricing for entire cost of project.
The exterior sundeck was also completely redesigned and a new layout was created. We also outfitted the exterior with new exterior cushions to create a fun usable space, exterior covers, stunning red accent tables and tops, and equipment.
On the interior, we converted the over head to a new whisper wall system and designed a new layout for the salon panels and lighting placement. Also completely redesigned all the overhead and lighting design throughout, the yacht was converted to LED with brushed stainless fixtures. All heads and the galley were completely redesigned and rebuilt as well as crew area. We also outfitted her interior with new furnishings, gorgeous glass and mirror custom railings and enclosures, interesting decorative tiles and stone, decorative lighting, shiny new plumbing fixtures and accessories, door hardware and cabinetry and rich flooring and plush carpet. We redesigned and rebuilt the entire Master suite with all new woodwork and shoji screens and all new Ash wood cabinetry. We also designed and built all of the custom padded headboards and window treatments and all new cozy built in furniture to finish off the the look and provide privacy and softness to the final design.
